Junortoun -
A Place with Deep Roots

Splitters Creek Therapeutic Gardens is located on the site of the original Homebush Estate, the historical heart of what is now known as Junortoun, situated only a few minute drive outside Bendigo in regional Victoria.

Established in the 1800s, Homebush was once a prominent rural settlement with its own post office, railway station, and community hub. In 1912, the area was officially renamed Junortoun to avoid confusion with Homebush in New South Wales — but its legacy lives on in the land.

By choosing this site for Splitters Creek Therapeutic Gardens, we honour the spirit of community, cultivation, and connection that has defined this place for generations. The soil holds stories, and we’re proud to add new chapters to the living history of this meaningful location.
